I LIKE my new 31" MT/R's!

I got a chance to do some shootin' and wheelin' and huntin' all on the same afternoon... wanted to check zero on a couple lever-guns, then played around a bunch on my new MT/R's, and then ran into some grouse (only season open) and gave chase sans dog, but still got 2 of 'em. Mmmmm, grouse. Anyway, I was really digging the new 31's, as much because I seem to have crossed some sort of threshhold as because of the more aggressive tread than my 30" BFG AT's.

What I mean by crossing a threshhold is that my approach and decent angle seemed to have increased all out of proportion to the 1/2" higher i am sitting. I never whumped the gas tank once, and I was climbing and trying to climb some stuff that whumped me hard in the past. The clearance i have now also seems like way more than just 1/2" more. At any rate my moderatly built (31's,

4.10's, Tru-Track LSD's front and back, winch) "little" Tj was doing great.

?!? No, this was a 30/30 and a 44 mag. The 45/70 is already sighted in with it's "serious" load... No BP stuff for me!

And no, no pictures of my guns, you'll just have to believe me ,g>!

Ahh, you meant "lever action" rifle. Here you were talking about a "lever gun" and we were all expecting Bill H. to chime in with tales of the trebuchet he used to own as a kid.

... my alma matter still makes me proud, altho it has apparently tamed down somewhat since the supply of C-4, primacord, depleted uranium, etc. have apparently dropped off a bit.
