JEEP TRAILER

Around here, to the frame. The idea they work from is that you don't want the trailered vehicle doing a lot of bouncing independently of the flatbed (trailer or truck) suspension -- think of a 20 pound dog with a 30 pound tail.

That is a 'for sure', the double suspension bounce can put a trailer airborne.

Tow trucks are a totally different animal, the back deck isn't a trailer.
