Jeep Wrangler 2000 Bolt and Nut opinions please!!!!

I just purchased one of those fancy Warn Rock front bumpers, a Warn 9.5 ti winch and the Warn winch plate that ties everything together for my 2000 Jeep Wrangler. To install everything together, I need 'torx' bits, 'allen' wrench bits, and the regular 6 point bolt and sockets to install everything. My question is, should I bag the torx and allen bolts and just buy and go reliable with the 6 point regular nut and bolt stuff I am familiar with? It would be so easy to use the original torx and allen stuff than to buy the 6 point stuff I could easily get a wrench on. Should I just use the 'default' torx and allen stuff and save initial install time or should I be consistent, comfortable and use the 6 point stuff I am used to in the past life to wrench crank?

Go with regular hex-head hardware... Grade 5 or Grade 8... and forget the torx-stuff. :)

Thanks guys, I'm the original poster and I apologize for being so goofy and vague with my original post but after a tough week, I had a few beers when I originally posted my question and I was not at my mentally best but I guess you knew what I'm getting at. I'm a hex head guy and I do not like the torx head stuff and the allen head stuff. My feeling is that when I install my new bumper and winch, I want to go with hex head material. My new question: Why in the he*l does Jeep (and other manufacturers) use anything but the hex head? I have stripped the heads of so many torx and allen, why do car manufacturers continue to see them?

If you've got good quality TORX bits you can put more torque on them than on a hex head. Of course, if you bought cheap, Autozone bits, all bets are off.

Hex heads tend to be a lot deeper than torx though.

Huh????

Up here in the rust belt there is usually nothing left for any torx bit to grab onto, good quality or crap quality.

I always figured those damn torx bolts were just a pure rip off money maker for the dealer when having to do any repairs. They always have to be drilled out and tapped for a proper bolt to go back in so you can add an extra half hour's labor for each bolt that has to come off.
