Lets Talk Jacks

I have been reading an on-line advertisement for Hi-Lift jacks. I have hadmy 2000 TJ for only a few months but I am beginning to think that having ajack like this for the trail would be a good think to have. I am alsothinking that I want to store the jack externally either on the back bumperor the front bumper. I would welcome your opinions on the following:1) Is the Hi-Lift brand the brand to buy or is there another brand thatis a better choice?2) As I mentioned above, I am thinking that I want to mount itexternally. What are your thoughts about where to mount a jack like thisand why?3) Are there any jack accessories that you would recommend and why?4) I would also welcome any links to pictures of mounted jacks to giveme some ideas as to where I can mount a jack.5) I would also like to hear how a jack like this has helped you out ofa bad situation in the past.Thanks in advance and I always appreciate all responses.

Very true. I carry both. The stock bottle and a hi-lift. Use the high-lift only when there is no other choice.

I carry one of those, too, but these pine branches won't hold up the rig.

Me, too. Sometimes there is just no substitute for a high-lift.

That's when I use mine too. It's better than getting my wife to lift while I drive ...
