Overcharging Alternator '73 CJ5

I'm having problems with my alternator overcharging. It is putting out 18.46 volts. I have replaced the alternator and regulator with no change. The only thing I can figure is the regulator is connected incorrectly. The regulator has four wires (orange, black, yellow, and green). Does anyone know where these should be connected so I can double check my connections. The Jeep is a 1973 CJ5.

Thanks in advance for any help.

My book says the same but his colors don't match up.

I have a feeling he might have the wrong regulator.

Finally got the correct configuration. Ended up talking to tech support at Borg Warner. They are really good if anyone has questions on thier products. For everyone else out there who may have the same issue here is the proper connection: Black: Ground Yellow: Ignition Green: Field Orange: Indicator

Works well now. Thanks for everyones response. This ng comes through again. Can't tell you how many times I've had my questions answered in this ng.

My new regulator is a Borg Warner (P/N: R292) which has different color wires than OEM so I called the Borg Warner Tech Support guys. The next on my list was Motorola if Borg Warner didn't work out but they were really good. They technician researched the problem then called me back with the proper configuration. I love it when you talk to competent people that actually do thier job. Too many people out there that don't care about thier job or are incompetent or both.
