There's a certain amount of circumstantial evidence, since Judith Powell and Lloyd Parker both teach at Emory. This goes back to Nathan's first run-in with D-C, when Nate was regularly slamming Mr. Parker for his idiocy.

Understood... I have been guilty to joining that thread off and on. As a conservative, it's hard to read that drivel and NOT respond (I've been better lately).
I had my fill of Parker when he was posting in alt.trucks.ford in a thread about parked Crown Vic patrol cars catching fire when hit from behind by a speeding truck. Of course he believed it was a design flaw by Ford, never mind that no vehicle could survive such a collision. He was completely wrong about the location of the Crown Vic fuel tank, but of course never admitted it, even when presented with a diagram from a FSM. In short, he's hopeless, and I hope Emory yanks his network priviliges.

I didnt read the original post about ford crown vics burning when hit from the rear, but they will. A friend of mine was hit in the rear and it burned. Mostly it involves police cars, because there are so many of them that get hit while they are stopped on the road. Makes me think of the pinto.

For the record, I counted 95,100 posts. You have to do an author search of "Lloyd Parker" (57,500) and "Lloyd R. Parker (37,600).

Of course, when I discovered this I took it upon myself to inform snipped-for-privacy@emory.edu....
It takes a serious impact. This one was an 18 wheeler at about 40mph. My friend managed to break the passenger window and crawl out, but the trunk was in the back seat. Lots of cars burn on these types of impacts, but ford catches most of the flack because of all the police cars they make. Never heard of the CJ-7 burning from the rear....but if the 18 wheeler hits me, I guess that would be the least of my worries.

I sent this to Mr Flanagin (The guy that replied to Nathan), snipped-for-privacy@emory.edu and to Mr. Parker himself: Could you PLEASE stop Lloyd Parker from posting his extreme political views to rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys? He is in CLEAR violation of the newsgroups charter and I'm sure that he is in violation of the rules at Emory. He has been asked to stop MULTIPLE times. He is using puck.cc.emory.edu as his news server.

I would like to inform you about an individual using an Emory.edu email account that has been seriously violating the charter of the rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys Usenet discussion group by excessive crossposting (and thus probably violating charters of other groups) and engaging in and often instigating off-topic discussions. This individual's contributions are, in many cases, abusive and showing no regard for proper group decorum. By posting presumably from Emory's network and on Emory's time, he has cast a poor reflection upon Emory University.
The individual has identified himself as Professor Lloyd Parker, using, at various times, the email addresses snipped-for-privacy@emory.edu, snipped-for-privacy@larry.cc.emory.edu, snipped-for-privacy@NOSPAMemory.edu, and snipped-for-privacy@NOSPAM.emory.edu, sometimes posting as Lloyd Parker, sometimes as Lloyd R. Parker.
According to Google.com, he made approximately 57,500 posts using the name Lloyd Parker:
