Steering Wheel adjust & Horn

91YJ, 4.0L

Can someone remind me how to recenter the steering wheel? I just installed a new 4" lift and now the steering wheel is not centered. I seem to remember there is a simple adjustment done on the steering likage that will recenter it. I tried to pop of the steering wheel and reposition it to center. That won't work because it only goes on one way due to the horn plunger position. Speaking of which -- can someone tell me what is the correct sequence of install of the horn switch plunger, spring and bushing. While removing the steering wheel the plunger and spring popped out and I can't seem to get is back together in the right sequence. No matter how I try, the horn will stay on when reconnecting the battery. This thing is driving me nuts.

Thank for your replies. and Bill appreciate as always any links to the above issues.

There is a sleeve with 2 bolts you loosen to turn on the steering linkage just near the steering box that is used for setting the wheel straight. It is called the drag link.

Just a heads up, I would take it and off road it good before setting the steering wheel unless you don't mind doing it twice. Once it bounce settles the springs, the steering wheel will clock off again.

Horn... LOL! Good freaking luck. My guess is you have the plate upside down or inside out is a better word. It goes on backward to what 'looks' right. I had the same issue with mine, it came to me that way, but got it finally.
