What gears do you have? Stock axles? All terrain ta's are good all-around tires. Goodyear MT/R is better.

Jon, no one can really make a solid tire recommendation without knowing in what conditions it will be driven in. 90% street 10% offroad?

50-50 street trail? Mud? Snow? Rock crawl> im going to do a SoA done next week and was going to get some new 35 in

I love my Interco TrXus MT...great street manners and awesome off road...also the best offroad tire I've found for the snow and ice.. Good luck!

For an all terrain tire with limited serious mud, I'd agree with Carl. I've had both of those and like them, with a slight nod toward the MT/R. The BFG will wear better, however.

they are good but bfg makes a tire called sport king (AT) and mudking (mt) they dont say BFG on them.. i have been buying them for my jeeps for years and even put a set of 35's on my personal Jeep they are great, last a long time, & perform gr eat off road and they are inexpensive!! I pay 125 each for 35's! Jarod

The 'King' line is BFG's second line of tire with only 2 sidewall plies vs the BFG's 3 ply sidewalls.

My CJ7 came to me with Mud Kings on. They work and wear well, but make more noise than the BFG's I think.

I really like my BFG muds for both on and off road performance. Tall skinny has super traction.

I have the AT's on the Cherokee and they are not as sticky on or off road, likely because they are wider though....

I'd have to agree on this one. The BFG AT's are great tires if you're doing mosty highway daily driver duty but lack in some offroad conditions. They last forever though. I got about 40k miles on a set and they were still good when I moved to MT's. I've used BFG MT's on 3 YJ's over the years. Not only do they last a long time, they are great offroad. On road they make a lot of rumble but I personally like that.

your getting lots of great input, tirerack.com has some nice side by side comparisons on the bfg at/ko but as it has been said "where are you going to spend your time" highway, sand, mud ect..and be honest with your self everyone loves a tire with 4inch rubber nobs but you have to take into acount tire ware. as well as ride . with 35s you must have a lift,so is it for articulation (rocks and trees ) or mud.

i live in florida so the only thing that i have to worry about is sand and mud. i havent went offroading but with new engine SoA and some

35in tires id like to, but it will be 80 high way use and 20 % offroad use. also i cant make up my mind should i stick with the 5 n an half inches of lift that SoA gives me of get 2 more inches from leafsprings?

In FL, the only thing I'd run is mudders. No way I'd use ATs. All it takes is the first time stuck to make it worthwhile.

Stick with mud tires for the mud and sand, probably the BFG Muds.

Roy, I ran 10" of lift in my YJ on the highway with 33's and had no issues. It was also SOA.
