Willy's rebuild info?? OR/WA

Hey all, My doc has what he thinks is a 47 Willys (flatfender) Jeep. For the last 15-20 years it has been parked in a barn over in Eastern Oregon on his parents farm. As far as anyone can remember, when it was parked it ran fine other than the clutch needed replacing.

In the spring he plans to pick the Willy's up and wants to have a shop do the engine/tranny/drivetrain/axle work on it. Body work is a separate issue for the most part. The doc is not mechanically inclined and cant do the work himself. He would like to use this as a hunting rig and for running about town when the weather is nice, etc.

Anyone have any ideas of where I can point him to talk to folks about this, or a shop that you know is capable and willing to work on these old rigs?

He is located in Portland, but would be willing to take the Jeep pretty much where ever in OR/WA to get the right person working on it.

Ideas??

Thanks.

Woody's 4X4 in Vancouver Washington. They specialize if Jeep/Willys vehicles. They have a big selection of new & used parts and a good service department as well.

He does plan to put in a new motor from what he said.
