Air springs on a classic

Oh yes, I feel a right happy bunny

10 minutes to get the spring off

then the first issuette

When I bought new clips, the chap at the dealership (using the whizz bang non paper method) told me "yes sir, two clips sir" so I bought 4 - shame that there are 4 per spring. Not a problem, as there was only one properly shagged spring, I had enough.

New spring in

Top clips 2 minutes the pair - fantastic - whats all these stories of hours to change them??

bottom clip front, 2 minutes - mostly time wasted trying to contort body so i could push the spring clip on.

last clip - 40 sodding minutes - basket thing!!!

In the end, found one of the less bent old ones, and it clipped straight on

started up, up she came, loaded it no air loss- job done.

So, overall, less than an hour, if the clip had played ball, less than 1/2 an hour.

Now I need to get it "testbooked" as the ECU isnt quite understanding where the corners are.

Does anyone know if the Rovacom lite stuff can connect to a classic?

I know its bad form to reply to your own post - but Rovacom does - £750 for the kit - hmm, this might take some explaining to SWMBO
