Any second hand dealers in this area?

I'm looking for a good solid tow vehicle with room in the back, probably a

110 van, and am trying to find dealers within a reasonable distance of Filey in North Yorkshire. So far I've found P.A. Blanchard & Co in Shiptonthorpe but they've only got vehicles that are a bit over my budget of £5k max, I would be very grateful if any one can point me in the right direction.

excellent choice :)

Dealers aren't likely to have low cost vehicles on the forecourt, but they do unload them at auctions and on ebay - worth taking a peek even if you don't find the right vehicle you may pick up some useful contacts.

Also - the odd vehicle does get mentioned here.

Thanks, I've had advice from friends who are owners so hopefully am getting a bit clued up 8-).

I probably should have worded it differently, I tried official dealers and, as you say, they aren't interested in anything under £15k which would spoil the immage they wish to portray to those with more money than sense, at least that's the case around here. I should have said I'm looking for independents who specialise in older and cheaper Land Rovers.

I've been following EBay closely, there is a steady stream coming up but most seem to fail to meet their reserve or starting price, people seem to be asking too much for them I guess.

I got my 110 from what is now called LR Spares

They're near Grantham, close to the A1.

Stuart

Thanks Stuart, I'll be in that area in a few weeks time so will give them a look.

Greg, Ive just sold a 92 Tdi 90 HT in Driffield. Ive found that "their ain't much in this area!"

You could always try Dewsbury 4x4 - OK Ii know they arent near Filey but once on the motorway its only 1/2 hr.

I suspect you may be better off looking in the classifieds -
