That header gave me nightmares last night!

the Dutch site....

Oil pressure switch activated fuel pump? Ignition switch not bypassing?

I cannot see why it stopped initially on gas but mine allows enough gas into the manifold to make too rich a mixture initially and until the engine runs it never draws enough air to dilute the mixture. Only solution is to crank it with lpg and petrol off until it fires and then switch on lpg while it's still turning.

you did reconnect the sensor wire to the appropriate place, didn't you...

check the liveness or otherwise of the LPG system when cranking with a voltmeter or small lamp.

spraks on the outside of the ignition, or did I misinterpret that? If so, leads are compromised, or cap.

Plug gaps need to be fairly small for LPG, about 25 thou should be good.

Bet toyota don't still make the previous model for military orders...

there were a good few LRs with the 300 TDi in 'cos the army didn't want the TD5. LR continued to put the TDi in for army ones...

I doubt it. they're using Iveco and I suspect they'll have gone over to the latest one.

also frost on same. You do have at least 25% antifreeze in it, I assume?

AOL2.

no - fuel pump is wired direct. i can hear it running but it just wont prime up to the carbs easily.

will try that if i have trouble again..

they should just come out when i remove the drain plug shouldnt they - or do i need to strip and clean it out?

took the vaporiser off my car today (am trying to fit a +ve pressure feed to the back of the diaphram to make it work on a turbo) and i removed the drain screw and nowt came out - and that is after 2 years.

hmm. you might have a point. I did put 3L of antifreeze in (thats 20% or so) - but then had a leak in the bottom rad hose which may have lost much of it. I didnt actually look closely at the vaporiser. wonder if it had iced up. I had just driven up a hill and the truck was hot.

That would explain things!

I wonder if low coolant/lack of antifreeze is why it seems to get a bit lumpy when its proper hot..

yep. definately. it is on coil -ve. have watched it today and test it off so i know which light on the lpg switch is the rev signal one so i can check next time

I cant see it being low. I wired in the lpg feed when i rewired the truck. its onl its own fuse in the box.

Yes, there were sparks round the terminals on the coil - hence why i considered the electric ignition module since it connects both sides (is fed off coil +ve, then sits between coil -ve and points)

thats what they were when i put em in last week.

DO you have a solenoid on the tanks(s)?

No big deal I had Kamm diff locks on my 90 Included in the kit were hardened half shafts. Accidently drove it on tarmac with the centre difflock in - sheared the hub bolts eventually. Everything else was OK.

it does need coolant flow and it needs enough antifreeze that it doesn't freeze up before the coolant gets warm enough to stop it freezing anyway. check it for air locks.

low coolant is possible especially if this compromises the coolant flow in the vap.

The one on the 110 was airlocked and/or not enough antifreeze, and it went about a mile before it froze up and conked out.

Yup the trend is towards 14T wagons in the armed forces. Can be reactively armoured to null IED's And it actually works reducing casualtys. As for our southern friend saying Toyota's are better. . Well dont change how we all feel about landys. Perhaps and offroad race through Mongolia's steps hehe! Best vehicle i've ever driven is the Warrior APC. Goes like stink !! And a halfwheel instead of Tillers like on the chiefs.
