Come up winches

Jul 20, 2003 1 Replies

Has anyone tried the Come-Up DV9000i winch, it seems very reasonably priced compared to similar spec winches from Warn and Superwinch. What's the catch?

Tony.

They are made in Taiwan. Good for as long as they operate. If the importer also has spares for them (for when they get damaged) I think there will be no problem.

People who have used them say they are fine. Magazines who have tested them against other brands of winches found them better than the opposition on several occasions.

In fact I have bought one, direct from the Taiwanese factory through a group purchase with some friends from Cyprus (I am based in Greece) but I have not tried it yet.

Take care Pantelis

P.S. Up until lately goods made in Taiwan used to be not so good qualitywise. But that thing has dramaticaly changed lately. I think you should at least go and see one.
