Just looked at a Range rover with a Daihatsu turbo diesel conversion - owners not sure on the cc, recons it might be a 2.8ltr. The only identifying plate says 'DL - 50' on the side of the rocker cover?
What do you think?
Thanks in advance

Daihatsus coms in 2.5 and 2.8 flavours, turbo or non-turbo on the latter definitely. The non-turbo one is good in a 90, not sure what it'd be like in a RR.
aha:
Same block markings on the turbo ones. The early DL turbo was 115HP at
3400RPM, the later ones a fraction more.
IIRC one has a red top and one black. One of these has a timing belt while the other has something else. All very vague and clouded in the mist of time as far as I am concerned.
Huw
Defiantly got a turbo bolted on the side - so it's looking like a
2.8............Lee

The above site suggests the turbo ones are DL-51 and DL-52, but that might only be a difference on paper. Mind you, inspection should reveal the presence or absence of a turbo and/or intercooler.
