Discovery Exhaust Walkers part numbers

I bought a rear silencer for my 1991 3.5L V8 disco. The spec looked right (Ebay item 110173078480). "3.5L V8 non-Cat" but it does not fit. I'm wondering if the middle silencer and front parts of the existing exhaust are correct for the vehicle. The middle silencer is Walkers and has these numbers:-


52 17476 F00 4299
85 2 32

and the new rear silencer (also Walkers) comes complete with the over-axle link pipe


66 18387 e2 4437
82 0 27

Unfortunately, the rear hanger (just in front of the rear silencer) does not line up with the bracket on the body and the link pipe, although roughly the right shape, seems to be smaller diameter than the outlet on the middle silencer.



Anyone got access to a Walkers catalogue to tell me if these numbers are compatible?



What should I be looking for?

Right then, a '91 3.5L Disco non-cat should have the following:-

Rear silencer 18387

Middle silencer 18386

17476 is the middle silencer for a Cat Disco. It also uses a 64mm clamp as opposed to the 57mm clamp you should be using.

Many thanks John and Dougal. I'm wondering if my disco was originally fitted with a cat but it's been removed. How would I be able to check that? Cheers Peter
