Disco SRS light

Hi Guys

My kitset discovey ( 1995 series 1 face lift ) is getting to the end of its build, I only have one more issue to tick off before compliance.

SRS light. All looks fine and the horn works ( suggesting rotary coupler is OK ) and the airbags have not deployed, so the first line logic is that the fault is purely caused the battery has benn disconnected for so long.

Where I live we don't currently have a LandRover dealer, so I can't get the SRS controller reset by them.

Went to see a specialist auto sparky and unless it had an ODBC ( or whatever incase I am getiing confused with computers ) connector ( which it dosn't ) he can't help either.

Any ideas on how to get around this ???

There was some work being done somewhere on the internet on reverse engineering the data protocol and software for your own version of the Tbook ( the Rover test laptop ) anyone remember where who and how ??

May not be relevant to you, but the SRS light also covers malfunctions in the other systems such as the seat belt pre-tensioners, if fitted. I had an intermittent SRS light on a D2 which turned out to be a fault in those.
