Hi,
I have a late model 2002 Freelander TD4 with about 4500 miles on clock. Over the last 10 days it has failed to start on 3 occassions. Symptoms are: shortish (1mile) drive in warm weather park up and come back in about 15 - 30 mins starter operates but engine doesn't fire tried locking/unloscking with key out to reset immobiliser checked fuses seated ok cranked it for several seconds (usually fires first turn happned 3 times in 10 days but gets started approc 4 times a day. no pattern other than it's warm. had full tank of fuel.
Dealer suggest i get LR assistance out, but i f i leave it abou another 15 mins, car starts fine (besides why wait an hour for LR assistance)
any ideas ?
also when engine's turned off i what seems to be a pulley squeak.
TIA.
