I find a good thick dollop of fairy liquid stops any misting if thats the issue. Otherwise a ice scraper sorts the rest. I've god cars with heated mirrors but never (knwoingly) used them.

Both. The disco mirrors, for the most part, clear and then stay clear, with the heating on. The ones on the LDV don't, 'cos of no heating, and even if defrosted with a scraper have a habit of freezing up again in the wrong conditions.

Scorpion Racing sells such kits (for two mirrors) including the elements, relay, switch and wiring loom for 37.50 pounds plus VAT.
More expensive than the e-bay seller.
But they do work OK. Have sold quite a few of those here in Greece (where it also rains and occasionaly also snows)

The ones on Ebay are on an auction, not a buy now, there's an implication that you can have the kit direct for more.

I can not sell you anything since you are in the UK but the prices are the same. Greek prices are a bit different due to a higher VAT rate and shipping charges anyway.
