Iceland recovery insurance and diesel tax.

Jul 10, 2003 1 Replies

I'm now planning to take my 110 to Iceland in a couple of weeks and having checked with the RAC they tell me that Iceland is not in Europe as far as their recovery service is concerned! (I can't remember seeing anything in the small print about not recovering vehicles from glaciers or volcanoes!) Has anyone any ideas on who might cover me in Iceland to get the vehicle back to Reykjavik in an emergency, so that I can get on the boat and ring the RAC when it gets back to this Country? I'm also trying to establish the amount of diesel tax payable for a 110 entering the country. Cheers, John
