Thought you all should know what my newest accessory going onto the Series is - it's just arrived from Klaxon, and I'm just trying to work out how to mount this monster under the bonnet. It's going to the left of the engine, with the trumpet below the radiator overflow so that the sound can project out from the air vent in the radiator grille panel.'t ask how much it cost. If you need to ask you can't afford it ... silly money, but I could not resist a 120 dB horn.Now, where's my neighbour's cat gone ??? Karen

It'll turn at mainshaft speed, ie engine RPM. My PTO is a rear PTO, the length of the shaft means it should be driven at no more than 600 rpm. Serious wobbles start at 1000 rpm. I use mine at medium tickover, though at times when negotiating a creek crossing while spraying the revs do get up a bit.

A centre PTO (ie no propshaft) or bottom PTO have no such limitation. My (no longer owned) bottom hydraulic PTO used to do some serious revs at times when self recovering.

Ah. same here.

You can legally 'have' it, just can't legally 'use' it. (Unless when challenged you can provide good cause etc).
