Leave the series front axle alone, no point in free-wheeling hubs with a permanent 4wd transfer box, you'd need to run it in diff-lock permanently and as you only then load up one prop shaft the centre diff bearings will get upset. Leave well alone and run in permanent 4wd. The only time you will notice anything is a slight steering feedback at nearly full lock, and the only time you'll be at that much steering lock is at very low speed, so no problem as I've already said in a previous post in this thread. As for ratios, fit rangerover classic (3.54:1) differentials to your axles and your gearing will then be the same as the 90 or 110 that you took the transfer box from (with a small alteration for tyre size).
