More Freelander TD4 Woes

Well, 700 miles after my first service on the TD4 (and a total of 9,000 miles from new), I'm getting diesel fumes in the car from somewhere. It's very noticable when the car is stationary and dissipates as I build up speed.

For those of you in the UK at the moment, you'll understand that the heater is on (halfway into red sector) and the fan's set to 2.

Still at least on the service they re-connected the hose to the turbo (which reduced the oil consumption), "fixed" the aircon for the 4th time and seemed to stop the coolant disappearing into some exhaust valve sensor or other !

Any one got any clues as to the diesel fumes ?

TIA.

Have you got a aux heater(behind the front bumper) if yes it could be that is causing fumes. "R101" schrieb im Newsbeitrag news: snipped-for-privacy@doris.uk.clara.net...

Thnaks for the comment, but this model doesn't have the fuel-fired heater.

I took it to the dealer (after much wailing that I should call LR assistance - fell on deaf ears since I only work 2 miles from them and they sold the lemon). Turns out a breather pipe had "become dislodged". Must be my fault and nothing to do with the service done 3 weeks ago !
