I've got hold of a LHD transmission brake assembly that i'd like to fit to my RHD SIII in order to gain a bit more leg space for the driver - Would this arrangement prevent the vehicle from passing a MOT?
The lever will end up on the other side of the transmission tunnel still well within easy reach from the drivers side.
I'm not sure about this, but an alternative would be a handbrake from an early SIIa or SII. These just poke out from the seat, rather than the large curved handle that you get with later SIIa and SIII. I find that it's much more convenient as regards leg room.
