Mind, I've not sampled a ford-engine defender. really depends on what sort of a job they've done on retuning it; the TD5 is not regarded as being perfect, by some at least, although I gather it improved in later ones. On paper, the ford looks good. Hmmm. wonder if Like's are open this afternoon, I could take Edward II up there for a spin and see if can blag a test drive, and find out if they have any TD5s in stock.

angon... LR's site still says TD5s for defenders. is it out of date, or are you jumping the gun?
