Hello All. Decide to annoy you lot again, due too MOT day. I noticed for a while how the rain kept coming, it seems I have little green men with hoses. No sorry it's lack of sleep starting to take hold. Seriously though I noticed the ressidue on the door retaining hinge. There I followed it path to my roof drain channel. I personally think there was a bad design fault from the start to the present day.

I found that water had been overflowing the front of the gutter and dribbling into the top of a worn. badly fitted door seal, it was working down and through the door seal before dribbling onto my wife's left leg.. so I've filled all gaps around there with silly-cone sealant, just waiting for a rainy day now to see if I'm right...

Pull the door seal away from the A post - there is an obvious join between two sections which needs to be covered with gaffertape or similar. Also use dum-dum. Replace seal. Usually fixes problem.

bet it don't rain for a month now. Mother (not Martyn) went up on our roofº a few days back to put duck tape 'round the boiler flue where it's leaking water, so of course it's not rained since.

º it's a flat roof wot you can get to by going out through an upstairs window.
