Is there any way to tell if an engine is overheating or close to overheating without trusting the temperature gauge on the dash, 'cause I don't :-P
My gauge only really seems to have to positions - midway or hot, I've never seen it in a different position except when the Landy is turned off. There is a slight hissing noise around the filler cap when the gauge is just on the red but I have to put my ear to the cap to hear it so it's not exactly obvious.
Any tips?
