rr tyre sizes

i have been offered some r16 265x 65 tyre doea anyone know if these would be suitable for a standard classic rangerover the tyres were fitted to a land rover

Standard RRC tyres were 235/70 ISTR. About 29" diameter. The 265s are about half an inch taller, which probably won't matter, but are 30mm wider. I would expect to have to trim the wheelarches a bit to ensure they don't modify the bodywork under full articulation.

See previous post. 31.6" tall - about 2½" taller than standard and over an inch wider. Expect problems if you aren't trimming the arches.
