tyre pressure

i have yokohama a539 195/45/r16 tyres on 16" tsw alloys does anyone know what tyre pressure i should use. they are on a peugeot 306

Start with the manufacturer recommended pressures for your vehicle - this will give the same size contact patch whatever size tyre is fitted. As you have larger wheels with lower profile tyres than stock, you probably need to reduce the sidewall flex, so you will need to increase the pressure slightly to do this. The optimum pressure will give a tyre that gets evenly warm across the tread and does not heat the sidewalls excessively - experiment until you find a pressure you are happy with.
