After having my fair share of trouble with my old disco ( '92 - 3.5lt ), I then bought a 98 Freelander...but have recently blown a head gasket.. ( at only 49,000 kms ), and now...have been told ( only 1,000 kms later ) that the cylinder is cracked...and I need a NEW ENGINE !!!!!!!!!! .... I somehow still love Land Rovers ....maybe it's my brain from leaking fumes or something ...
SO... is the new gen Discovery ( II ) any better with reliabilty ?
I'm probably looking at an earlyier mod. like the first ones...'99.... and just want to do a bit of research this time...before I buy another bunch of problems....
Any advice or help most appreciated...
