Where to buy Range Rovers?

Hi all,

Where is the best place to look for Range Rovers? Apart from autotrader.co.uk, which has a few, but not many of what I want.

I'm tempted by a late (soft dash) 4.2LSE with LPG conversion. I'm not ready to buy just yet (there are some wife-related hurdles first) but I'd like to start doing my research. I'm quite happy to travel long distances to find the right vehicle. I'm not happy to pay through the nose to buy from a "specialist" so I expect I'll be buying privately or from a non-specialist dealer.

Any suggestions appreciated, David.

Keep an eye on eBay - this will give you an idea of what to expect in terms of price.

Oh yes... know that one!

Rimmer Brothers of Lincoln always seem to have a good selection of late model Classics. Judging by the prices they are fully sorted, quality vehicles and they are Range Rover specialists (more money now for less in the long-term?). They do have website which lists their current stock which I am sure you can find.

I have no connection with the company, by the way.

Great stuff, it's bookmarked. Never used it before, thanks for the pointer.

Anybody know when the soft dash came in? Was it 94, or M plate, or both, or neither?

Thanks.

apart from the usual comics?

there were a couple of LSEs at a small place down in Pemborkeshire last year... small 4x4 specialist blokes might be worth a look, though as with any dealer purchase, you pay extra compared to a private sale, and sometimes with no better chance of comeback if it turns out to be a lemon.

non-specialist

When I was looking for mine I used Google so i could get an idea of prices. Most of them tended to be down south.
