'93 LS400 Noticeable grinding when brake pedal depressed at low speed

Hi All:

I owned a '93 LS400, and just a brake pads replaced (with generic brand not OEM - recommanded by mechanic). I noticed that after driving for 10 mins, and when I hit the brakes at low speed (10-20 mph), a noticeable grinding is heard.

Anyone has the same problem ? Please share your experience.... BR,

Somewhat normal. That's the effect of ABS on the earlier designs. My '96 LS400 does it too and the brakes are still factory original (55k miles).
