My 2005 Lexus ES330 currently wears 215/55/R17.
Can I replace them with 215/60/17?
Or 215/65/17?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, but you may need to also replace the wheels. Check with a competent tire installer.
Ray's right -- problem with going with taller tires (the middle number, 55,
60, 65 determines tire height). That number is a percentage of the width -- multiply that number times the first number (the width -- 215 in your example) then add the wheel diameter (17") to get the total tire height.Remember, and we used to have this problem with customers who wanted different size tires than OEM when I used to sell tires, if the tire is too tall, it will either not fit inside the wheel well or, if it does fit, it will rub the inside of the well especially when turning and/or when taking bumps/dips in the road.
