LS430 2001 Radio LCD Display Problem

Radio and CD player work fine but no indication at all on the LCD display. The LCD screen backlight works OK. Any ideas regarding cause and fix? Thanks,

Cause: LCDs burnt out Fix: Replace Radio assembly, about $700.00 + through dealer (for non- navigation) Alternative Fix: buy aftermarket.
