I have a 95' JGC Limited and the display on the Infinity Gold CD player doesn't work. One time it has lighted up after hitting a HUGE pothole, so I know it works, but the next day it was blank again.
I like the sound quality, so I don't want to replace the CD player.
Anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
AHH! I thought it was just MY Grand Cherokee! Yep; have the same problem, and same year GC. Only now my Infinity Gold unit is deteriorating further; now the buttons now longer work, or at least they work randomly.

I did what it said and it fixed mine!!! If you're handy with a soldering iron and can detect a broken solder joint, then this is easy to fix. It took me about 10 minutes start to finish (including getting the stereo out of the car!)
