things to look for - used ES300 ?

I'm in the market for a used ES300, probably 1995-2000 vintage. can the group give me a list of things to watch/listen/look for when evaluating this model? what have your experiences been in terms of what typically breaks down? I've been doing research, but can't find a definitive list of things that I should look for.

TIA

My 96's brakes wore out faster than they did on my 92 Camry... but the breaks are super great... had a factory CD changer die last week. Car has 104K with no rattles or squeeks of any kind. Smooth powerful nice looking low end status symbol cost less than similar Camry. ES300 = Great value. Just buy one, you'll love it :)

I would recommend trying to get a least a 1997. The changes for that year over 1996 were great. The pre 1997 was much more like a Toyota Camry XLE (not that there's anything wrong with an XLE) and 1997 really separated them.

Myself I would look into a Certified Lexus from dealer. Along with the extended warranty they usually have a low interest rate available (1.9 ??)
