205 diesel - pull to right on braking

Am going to have to get checked by a mechanic, but car is turning to right on braking with hands off wheel. Not a fierce pull but discernable. Have had pads, calipers, rear shoes and cylinders (3k miles ago), front shocks (7k miles ago), wheel alignment is ok, and garage that did work tested on rolling road and said brake imbalance only 4%. It's probably something on the front suspension - any ideas what to check?

Have a look at the bottom end ball joints. I've got a 205D that does the same but pulls left and ball joint on that side needs replaced as does the wheel bearing. Must get round to it, parts are sitting in the car ;-)

Also consider the flexible brake hoses.

Ball joints or soft wishbone bushes & the 4% is enough for you to notice. If you change them change the antiroll bar links at the same time & it'll make it feel like it was worth the effort.

Thanks for replies. Am getting bushes checked today, but already noticed where the offside caliper was replaced and flexible hose reattached, there is a twist in the hose, enough to rub on the inside of the tyre when steering wheel is turned most of the way to the left. Not happy about this, reluctant to go back again to the original garage that did the work. Had already noticed when they bled the brakes originally that they seemed to have let brake fluid simply run down the wheel rather than using a tube to carry it away (unless this is normal practise?).

That's sloppy

That's not uncommon.

Problem solved (I think). Fixed the twisted brake hose which wasn't too difficult, by slightly slackening union above end of rubber hose, untwisting and doing up again. Had noticed one of the front tyres worn unevenly - kind of like this

'''''''''''''--------____

- had replaced new front tyres with the spare and other back one, as they were very noisy (won't buy pirelli again). Swopped the two front wheels over and lo and behold it now pulls to the left!!! Am getting new tyre today.
