53 Seat Ibiza broken spring

Front, nearside.

Any other Ibiza owners experienced this?

Am having a go with Seat as a warranty issue, even though the car is out by

4months, but it does have FSSH and low miles (garaged rather than town bound)

Mine went on the back of a different car, it's just one of those things. It would cost you about £50 to supply and fit a new one. Having a full service history doesn't mean much as it is not an item that is regularly serviced or even looked at. For MOT a quick check is done to see it has no paint flaking off. Your car would never have had this checked. Low miles doesn't mean anything shouldn't go wrong. It depends how you drive and where. If you rammed it over speedhumps or up and down pavements it would wear out faster. Just live with it, cars do go wrong, parts fail and usually cost loads to fix.

Rubbish, it doesn't matter a monkeys about paint on the springs. I doubt you'd find any car more than a few weeks old that hasn't got paint flaking off the springs For an MOT they would be checked to see they're not broken, or collapsed. The examiner couldn't care less about the state of the paint on them. Mike.
