Come on then fuckface, why considering it was in the late 80's?

Depends on the speed.

It's called the conversation moving on. You're obviously too stupid to notice.

Conor ( snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying :

Ah, so not just "YTS spannermonkey" experience, but "massively out of date YTS spannermonkey" experience.

It's called move the conversation on sharply when you realise you've been talking bollocks, you mean.

I had a piston ring go on a mini once. It broke the edge off the piston before disappearing down the exhaust!

Err, I suggest you re-read your post:

You said:

"car packs up, and has a bent spark plug...Jock...th "Some other 'expert' recons its the cambelt. Like yeah, the cambelt breaking does tend to make the pistons hit the spark plug don't it mate!"

sponix

If the camshaft broke, the valve could get pushed further into the bore than it is designed to go. It then gets hit by the piston which bends the valve then hits the plug.

Erm yes, and in which of those sentences did I say or imply that a cambelt/camshaft breakage would/could not bend a valve?
