Brake hose query

My petrol focus went in for a service and they said the front brake hoses were bulging under pressure so they changed them with non genuine hoses at £22 a side. Question is the hose on the driver side is screwed all the way in to the caliper and sits flush as it were. On the passenger side there are

5 threads visible when screwed in all the way to the caliper so it does not sit flush. I thought it odd and brought it up as I thought it would corrode and seize of was cross threaded but they said no 2 hoses are the same even though one goes in all the way and the other doesn't despite being the same he said so long as no fluid is leaking and its screwed in tight there is no issue ?

Is this right or a load of rubbish ?

Loading thread data ...

It is possible that they are not a pair made by the same firm. You would only need a tiny difference in the thread length to make it sit differently. It is also possible that the thread length in the caliper varies a little. If they fit correctly (length wise) and don't leak then it is not a problem, since on all screw in type brake hoses there will be a small amount of thread showing. I have never had one give any trouble on removal despite the uncovered threads being rusty.

Thanks kindly for the quick response.

Thought I would ask as it sounded odd the way it was explained. I have no reason to doubt them tbh after 10 years of sorting my cars out. But it was more a curiosity.
