condensation in light

i was giving the car a clean today and noticed some kind of condensation in on of the rear clusters ?

I looked for cracks of any kind and oculd not see any ... how an earth is this caused ?

The other side is ok.

Rubber seal will have perished between the cluster and the bodywork.

Indeed.

You know those little packets of Silica gel that always seem so terminally useless but turn up whenever you buy something new and usually electronic? Get one of those, attach a bit of string to it (about 6" long should easily do it) and drop it into the light overnight (not the string, you need that to pull the little bag thing out). When you take it out in the morning the light'll be dry as a dry thing. Magic, eh?

But you really ought to cure the problem not the symptom. Water's getting in and should be stopped.

Ordered a new seal today, so hopefully that should do the trick.
