Escort Fuel gauge question
Had the dash out and now the fuel gauge seems to be stuck on 2/3 full. Can it be fixed. Someone told me there borked if turned upside down but I can't see that but you never know.

Perhaps you bent something accidentaly while you were clocking - oops I mean changing that panel bulb?

Well I know that if you disconnect the wires to the instrument panel then it settles on about 2/3 full, but reconnecting the wires again restores the gauge to its proper reading. Is it possible you did not reconnect properly?
I learnt this while changing my speedo cable by the way!

That's what it was showing but I might have that much fuel in, although I don't think so. Everything else seems to work, I did move the needle to below the E and turned the ignition on and the needle moved but I have no real idea where it should be now with the fuel I have in the tank. Oh well
