Escort ignition

When the ignition is switched on no dashboard lights come on and the engine will not start. After about 15 seconds the lights come on and I can start the engine okay. Any ideas why?

It's because of a temporal anomaly between yourself and your car. You need to generate a temporal pulse of minus 15 seconds to bring you into synchronisation. Of course the car must be enclosed in a stasis field during this process, or it will travel back in time with you and you will have the same problem, but 15 seconds sooner.

Alternatively you could try changing the ignition switch.
