Fiat Uno Tracking - Toe-in/out settings?

Oct 06, 2003 1 Replies

Hi,

Does anyone know the correct toe-in/out settings for a Series II Fiat Uno (1993 K-reg)? I have a Haynes manual on order from eBay, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Also, a couple of questions:

1) Am I correct in thinking that toe-in/out is quoted BETWEEN the two front wheels, as opposed to between one wheel and the notional centreline of the car? (There would be a factor of two between the two definitions), and

2) When toe-in/out is quoted as a distance, is it between the metal rims, or between the the outer circumference of the tyres?

Regards,

Andy

Between the wheels.

From the rims, but make sure you measure from the mid point in a vertical plane.

Remember to start with the steering rack *exactly* in its centre position or the geometry will be out, even although the toe-in measures correct.
