Ford Fiesta - passenger door wont open from the outside. Opens fine from inside. The car is due for an MOT next month, will the above result in an MOT failure?

Thanks

I asked the same question about the failure of my driver's door window to open, and I was told that the window was ok, but the door had to open, just as the seatbelts had to work, to pass the test.

That link is for additional tests for Class 5 vehicles i.e. those with >12 seats.

And yes, all doors need to open from outside.

Thanks for replies.... New external door handle ordered. Actuator tab broken off on existing door handle.

No good doing a Dukes of Hazard then!

That is OK There is exemption : reasons for rejection do not apply IF: "if the door aperture has been permanently 'filled' as part of a specialised customisation provided that there are no obvious aperture gaps. "
