MY 1994 toyota previa van driver side door wont unlock, and I cant open the door anymore. I do not know why it wont unlock or how to get my door open to fix the problem. will someone please help me. I need to know of how to get the door opened from the outside or the inside.

The linkage is broken. The only thing I can suggest is to get the window to go down, and try poking around with a device called a slim-jim. These are usually used by the tow truck driver that comes out to open the doors if the keys are locked inside. The slim jim usually will unlock the door, but it should be able to be used to trigger the latch. Once the door is opened, it will have to be taken apart to fix the broken linkage. The most likely broken part is a plastic clip that cost about 50 cents but takes hours to install.

Yep, have fun. Taking doors apart is the most annoying job I've ever had the misfortune of attempting to do. Once on an '88 Jeep YJ, once on a '93 Saturn SL1 and partially on a '97 Toyota Corolla. The doors were never the same after I was done with them ;p I'd suggest getting a professional to save you the headache ...it's probably worth the $ if you care about the vehicle at all.

A slim jim is the most likely cause of the problem in the first place so it's ironic that a slim jim would be the way to open it.

You have a broken return spring on the latch. You need to look down the top of the glass, locate it a nd push it down with a long screwdriver, then it will open so you can remove the panel and fix it.
