My car needs new headlamp bulbs (h1) I note there are many new types on ebay xenon Blue bright white etc. Anyone no what is the best to go for Thanks John in Kent

Philips Visionplus +50%
Osram Silver Star H1's 50% brighter ones are good, as are the Philips Visionplus, I've had both in different cars and wouldn't like to be without. I tried Halfords 30% brighter ones and they didn't seem any different to ordinary bulbs.
Useful product test of headlamp bulbs on the Auto Express website. In a nutshell - Phillips & Osram. With these brands, standard bulbs were fine,
+30% and +50% grades gave useful additional light, but expect reduced lifespan. Better a standard bulb from a good make than a 'super Xenon' or whatever from a cheap make.Join the Discussion
