I'd suggest you try another phone user who might enjoy reading this kind of stuff.

I know. Terrible, isn't it. You have to second-guess what he actually means. Trouble is, commenting on this gets you pilloried as a pedant in the use of proper English.

I'm then glad to be a pedant about this. He's asking a favour of others and it doesn't take any longer to type a clear to read post anyway.

I totally agree.

Seriously: You could improve your chances in life dramatically, if you were to learn the use of correct English. Evening and day courses are easily and very cheaply available from your nearest adult education centre.

I mean this sincerely.

Seriously, if you take the care to use proper English, it will make your questions easier to understand, which will improve the chances that somebody will actually be able to answer them.

Unfortunately you failed to help here - you've used several words with more than six letters each, which appears to be the most the OP can cope with.

Most people of the younger generations (shakes his head, being "only"

26) wouldnt consider it a problem requiring taking longer to re-write. Ive had official emails and letters with these shortenings in -arghh!

If the belt is still intact it /may/ have jumped a few teeth. I dont know the car so others may be better qualified to answer, but if you have also bypassed the fuel filter and checked the carb needle (is it carb or injection?) is clean internally (WITHOUT SCRATCHING IT) then its likely to be an ignition problem. If you could give us more detail about how it reacts when it dies, does it...

Stall Stutter and backfire with low power. Just misfire and sound unhealthy with low power.

Any other symptoms? Does it occur only under open throttle or does it occur when cruising lightly.

Have you checked the spark plugs and leads?

Yes, it appears to be a sign of the times. People don't get taught how to use English properly in schools. And to compound this, they spend half their time sending texts, so they are practising speaking badly. I wonder how many of them re-read their posts to see if they can be understood.

Silly thing is the original doesn't make sense as colloquial speech either. Sending texts via a numeric keypad is such a botch you'd have thought users glad to get to a real keyboard.

Not by me he won't. It seems to be a symptom of people using that Carkb.com noticeboard.
