Honda Accord Cruise Control - Doesn't switch on after repair work

Hello all,

I have a Honda Accord 2.0i (1999), and just had some work done, new battery, new discs, changed the timing belt and various other things, basically a few big maintenance jobs but nothing too out of the ordinary. Anyway runs a bit more nicely now but the cruise control doesn't kick in. Everythng else seems fine.

There's a main switch on the driver's right hand side that lights up green when cruise control can be switched on and that goes on fine and there's the on/off cruise control switches on the steering wheel but when pressed the cruise control doesn't kick in. Normally there's a nice green light on the dash that tells me it's on but nothing.

Of course taking it back to the garage this week to figure out why but wondered if anyone had any ideas? Could it be to do with the battery change?

Thanks, ~S

Cruise control will not work on these if even one brake light doesn't work, and they seem to be very prone to bulb failure, so check those first.
