They may enjoy a photo archive website I run (very amateur and non- tech) devoted to English stock-car racing from 1955 to 1975. It has hundreds of photos donated by fans, mechanics and drivers (and their children and grandchildren), and scores of stories and tall tales.
Those days on the tight 1/4 mile shale and tarmac ovals were rough but spirited, as were the drivers and mechanics. Get your mum or dad to the computer:
