lack of power / revs

'97 Citroen ZX 1.4i. So I finally get my thumping noise fixed (wheelbearings) and immediately notice that I seem to be lacking power. It pretty much refuses to rev past 3000, just doesn't seem to have the guts to do it, and I can only get past 60 with the aid of a hill. Had an oil change with filter and a new air filter put in at the same time as getting the wheelbearings done and had noticed before that the pipe that feeds back oil vapour etc., had been sealed on with some type of putty guess the connection must have broken at some point. Looking at it now, the connection is completely broken again so there's no seal there. Also let the engine idle with the oil filler cap off and I could feel a noticible air pressure coming from the hole. Additionally it *seemed* like the exhaust was quite weak? But I could be imagining that. It had also been reported to me by the guy that did the filter change that there is an oil leak that will need chased up.. Before the work, even with the bad bearings, there was plenty of power, could hit 5000 revs and keep on going without an issue if needs be.

Does this sound bad? If it is I might well be forced to shoot the person I got this shed from and buy a scooter or something!

Such a good day today that even my new can of WD40 only had one squirt of pressure in it.

*shakes fist*
